1. Types of Personal Data We Collect

Account data: When you create an account we collect your email address and the full name you provide. If you sign in with Google we receive the email address and name associated with that Google account.

Calculation data you enter: To provide the calculator and history features we store the values you input, including product name, purchase price, selling price, postage cost, other costs, selling platform (eBay, Vinted, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace), and item condition. These records are linked to your account and stored in our database.

Payment and subscription data: Subscription billing is processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and plan; Stripe stores and processes your card details. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or full card details.

Device and usage data: We may collect limited analytics about how you use the app (such as app version, event counts, and crash reports) to monitor performance and improve features.

Permissions data: If you grant access, Flip Profit (UK) may use your device camera solely for the in-app barcode scanning feature. Images captured by the scanner are processed on-device to identify the product and are not uploaded to our servers or stored after the scan completes.

2. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your personal data to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Flip Profit (UK) calculator, history, and analytics features
• Create and manage your account and authenticate you
• Process subscription payments and manage your Pro plan
• Generate AI-powered price checks, sourcing suggestions, and listing descriptions by sending the product name you have entered to our AI service provider
• Save your calculation history so you can review it later
• Provide purchase price, selling price, profit, margin, and fee calculations
• Send you service and account notifications (for example, subscription renewal or security alerts)
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms
• Improve and optimize our app, features, and user experience

3. Lawful Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

We process your personal data under the following lawful bases:

• Performance of a contract: Providing the calculator, saving calculation history, processing subscriptions, and delivering Pro features based on your account and subscription.
• Consent: Using your device camera for barcode scanning, sending product names to our AI service for price checks and suggestions, and any optional analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time through your device settings or by contacting us.

4. How We Share Your Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of processors and recipients, strictly to operate Flip Profit (UK):

• Google AdSense — may display advertisements to free-tier users and may use cookies to serve relevant ads. • AI service providers — receive the product name you have entered for the purpose of providing price checks, demand scoring, sourcing suggestions, and listing descriptions. We do not send your payment card details, account password, or personally identifying account data to AI providers.
• Our hosting and infrastructure providers — store your account and calculation data and provide the app servers and database that run Flip Profit (UK).
• Legal recipients — where required by UK law, regulation, or valid legal process.

5. International Data Transfers

Some of the processors listed above (for example Stripe, Google, and AI service providers) may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on UK International Data Transfer Agreements or the UK adequacy regulations, and we work only with processors that provide appropriate safeguards to protect your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide Flip Profit (UK):

• Account data: kept for as long as your account is active.
• Calculation data: kept for as long as your account is active, unless you delete individual records or your account.
• Payment and subscription records: retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 6 years afterwards where required for tax and accounting obligations.
• Usage and analytics data: retained in aggregate form for up to 24 months.

When you delete your account, your account data and calculation history are permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where UK law requires us to retain specific records (for example, financial records for tax purposes).

8. Data Deletion

You can erase your data from Flip Profit (UK) at any time:

• Delete individual calculation records — open the History tab in the app and swipe or tap delete on any record.
• Clear all calculation history — open Settings, then choose “Clear my calculation history”.
• Delete your account and all linked data — open Settings, then choose “Delete my account”. This permanently removes your account, calculation history, and account data within 30 days.
• Request deletion by email — contact trebor2471@hotmail.com and we will action your deletion request within 30 days.

9. Children’s Privacy

Flip Profit (UK) is not directed to and is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child under 13, contact us at trebor2471@hotmail.com and we will take steps to delete that data.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Flip Profit (UK) app does not use cookies. The flip-profit.com website may use cookies set by Google AdSense to serve ads to free-tier users. You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of personalized advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads .

11. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For significant changes we will also notify you through the app or by email where possible.
